Rahul Khan a 22 yr old resident of Rasoolpur village of Palwal, Haryana left home on 13 Dec with his friends never to return back alive.
Kalua, Akash and others forced Khan to accompany them to give a treat which Khan denied but was forced by them and taken away who did not return home that night.
Later on 14 Dec, Rahul Khan’s relatives received a call from Kalua saying that Khan met an accident.
When Akram, brother in law of Khan went to Kalua’s home to inquire about the call. He was abused and threatned by Kalua saying “Mulla tu b agya, tujhe be mardene”.(if you come again, you’ll also be killed). Akram said ‘this scared me and I ran off’ as reported by Maktoob media.
Khan was then shifted to hospital by his family members where he breathed his last after 6 hours of his admission.
On the basis of Kalua’s call, Khan’s family lodged an FIR stating Khan’s death in an accident at Chandhat Police station. But they found a video of Khan being beaten up mercilessly by mob on 15 Dec circulated on social media.
The mob can be heard saying “ Hum hindu hain hindu..tu mulla hai mulla” while beating Khan black and blue in the video. Khan was seen exhausted and bleeding.
His body was in a bad situation, it seems he was beaten with axe and rods according to Akram.
The video of Khan being hackled with a song in background was shared on social media by a user named ‘Sunil Chahal Chahal’ who later deleted the story claimed Akram.
An FIR has been lodged under IPC 209 & 304A and the video is also being investigated by Chandhat police.
The post mortem report suggests multiple traumatic injuries over the body including his head, legs and eyes.
