Hashtag #Palghar_Exposes_RepublicTV went trending on twitter in India on Thursday evening.
The netizens slammed Arnab Goswami, his channel and work ethics and blamed it for spreading hate among the citizens of different communities of the country. The users called out Arnab’s recent debate show on Palghar lynching incident of Sadhu’s wherein the journalist gave communal colors to the incident. Arnab in his debate show hadtried to create an impression that it was a communal incident and one particular minority community had lynched the Hindu Sadhus.
Apart from this, another hashtag labeling Arnab Goswami as ‘Virus’ was also among top trending hashtags in the country. #ArnabVirus was on number two trending position on Twitter while #Palghar_Exposes_RepublicTV was top trending hashtag after recording 25K tweets in no time.
Official twitter handles of Indian Youth Congress, All India Mahila Congress, INC Telangana President Uttam Kumar Reddy, Congress National Convener Hasiba Amin, Akash Banerjee were among those who posted tweets with the hashtag.
