Social media scams on the rise in Hyderabad, here’s how you can avoid getting scammed

Social media accounts are susceptible to exploitation, probable attacks that can happen are (a) #HashtagHijacking (b) Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) & Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) (c) Pharming (d) Phishing and ClickJacking (e) Identity Theft and (f) Impersonation.

Here are some of the red signs you can foresee:
Whether it’s a work from home or a quick job on social media, few red signs that you should always notice before moving ahead:
* It is too good to be true to believe.
* Promising guaranteed with very high returns
* Affinity Fraud – Advertisements by Paid Social Media Influencers
* You are paying in advance
*Pressure to buy/accept immediately “Expires Today”

Here are some social media tips which will keep you safe from any sort of fraud:

I. Utilize solid passwords with Capital, Numeric and Special Characters.
ii. Utilize separate messages and passwords for banking, social and individual records
iii. Try not to utilize web-based media on open gadgets or with public Wi-Fi.
iv. Be attentive about clicking shorts joins from companions in web-based media – These connections stunt you into giving individual data to take your cash or character or cause vindictive programming to naturally taint your web-based media accounts.
v. Utilize two-factor validation for every Social Profile.
vi. Downplay individual data, even on your private social profiles
