Kashmir: Story telling has been an important mode of transmitting knowledge from one person to another person and from one generation to another generation. Even it is still one of our pedagogical methods to impart instructions to our children.
Sahil Ali, the youngest story teller of Kashmir valley is hailing from Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Sahi is a student by profession and additionally, he is polishing his hands in writing and has been writing since 2018.
“I Consider writing as a tool of expression, and moving feelings beyond one’s vision. I mainly write Urdu poetry, also establishing my hand in english writing.” Says Sahil.
Apart from poet, he is a lyricist and story writer, all his works are greatly loved people. Sahil’s every piece of writing is a reflection of his life.
“I find writing a key to peace and self contentment. Writing brings me to the wisdom and vision that nothing else can do for me.” He adds.
“I am very much fond of Urdu poetry which is clearly reflect my growth. My aim is to flourish myself as one of the greatest writers of Kashmir.” He says.
“I started writing not for the sake of poetry but to give a vent to my emotions as I trust paper more than people, for me writing is what I feel stillness in breathing”, Sahil said.
Sahil believes in continuous learning and is practicing to be better. We hope that he will be able to rise to the heights that he is aiming for.
