In a notification issued to public today, the Juma Masjid Trust Board has stated that it’s suspending prayers for public in Juma Masjid mosque located at Millers Road, Eidgah Quddus Sahab in Bengaluru from tomorrow (9 July) ‘in view of noticeable rise’ in COVID-19 cases in Bengaluru. The decision was taken by the committee of Juma Masjid Trust Board ‘in the interest of health and safety of the Mussalliyan (worshippers)’, the notification said. It further added that the suspension is applicable to all the mosques coming under the trust board.
The worshipers are asked to offer their prayers at their home till further notice and ensure complete hygiene and safety. The notification did not mention the duration of the suspension of prayers for public. The notification is signed by the secretary of the trust board Mr S.S.Afser Khadri.
