King Saud ibn Abdul Aziz, the Saudi King who ruled from 1953 till 1964, visited Hyderabad Deccan in India in 1954 only to meet the Nizam of Hyderabad to thank him for the great monetary help extended by the Nizam for the maintenance of Harmain and Sharifain (Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawarrah) from 1911 till 1954.
Nizam had built more than thirty grand buildings around Masjid al-Haraam in Makkah Mukarramah and Masjid un-Nabavii in Madinah Munawarrah, for the pilgrims visiting these sacred places for Haj and Umrah.
Nizam of Hyderabad was the largest donor for the maintenance of Harmain Sharifayn till 1954 until the Saudis laid their hand on the petro-wealth.
In October 2012, Celebrity Net Woth.net compiled a list of all-time richests and named the Nizam as the all-time richest man of India.
