Gulbarga: The accused who tried to vitiate the society of Gulbarga by Burning the Quran and Masjid items in Tad tegnoor of Fartabad, were released on Bail, upon which there was massive unrest in the Community who questioned the callous and lazy attitude of Gulbarga (Kalaburagi) Police Commissionerate. Demanding stringiest action against the culprits involved in desecration of Masjid and burning of Quran in Tad Tagnoor, Gulbarga Popular Front of India led a Massive march of Gulbarga Muslim Community from Muslim Chowk Gulbarga To the Commissionerate office. The Rally converted into a Protest against the Police inaction after reaching the Gulbarga (Kalaburagi) City Commissioner office.

Speaking on The occasion, Shahid Naseer, Popular Front State Treasurer said that ” We want to bring to the Notice of Commissioner that, this communal crime which was an planned and organized incident of desecration of Masjid and burning of Quran in Tad Tagnoor, Gulbarga should have been dealt with iron hands. But, the FIR case # 0082/2021, where in IPC section 457,380,427,295 are weak sections. The whole case has been diluted and is handled with kid gloves. The gravity of this organised communal crime is been ignored or police might have acted like this due to some pressure from these fascist groups.
Slamming the lazy attitude of police, Mr Naseer said that If these kind of grave crimes is been dealt like this, then these hate mongorers and fascist goons gets motivated and continue doing these kind of crimes at other places. Now, after committing this heinous crime, the accused got bail in just 3 or 4 days, and also now instead of introspecting & seeking apology for doing wrong things, these accused have been given heroic welcome and is been regarded and awarded as the saviour of Hindutva by their fellow fascist group members.

Shaikh Aejaz, District President of Popular Front lambasted the police departments ineffectiveness and said “From the beginning we are telling the police department that, this crime is been done by an organised group of people belonging to fascist sangh ideology. These kind of crime cannot be done individually. To stop this kind of communal crimes in future, Police should deal it with iron hands and should file proper IPC sections based on the incident.”
Calling out the easy manner in which the Police took this case, He said that police department should shed their lazy and callous attitude regarding this matter and added that We demand to take stingiest action against these accused, so that nobody dares to repeat this kind of hate mongering act . Also open rowdy sheet and do tadipar to these criminals. Police department should set an example in these kinds of incidents, so that nobody from any community should involve in these kind of crimes.
Syed Aleem Ilahi District Gen.Secretary, SDPI Gulbarga (Urban) too spoke at the occasion and questioned how the police could be so careless in such a sensistive matter. Many other speakers too spoke at the occasion, Hundreds of youth joined the Rally, in which slogans against BJP state Govt, Islamophobia, Quran Desecration, communal hatred were raised.
