Manusmriti dahan Divas in Bidar, Pics of Manusmriti burnt by Dalit organisations

Satyajeet Nidodakar | Bidar: Every year manusmiriti dahan Divas was organized across India on 25th December, mostly by dalit organizations. Manusmriti is an ancient scripture which deals with hindu code of life. In 1927, As a part of Mahad Satyagraha Dr.B.R Ambedkar burnt copies of Manusmriti as a symbol against caste system and discrimination. This tradition of burning Manusmriti has been carried out for last 93 years by the Dalit community organisation.

“Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s constitution is equal to every citizen of India.we should abolish inequality practice which is mentioned in Manusmriti”,said Bhim Army District Incharge Kishore navalaspure, which led the Manusmriti Dahan Divas commemoration program at Bidar.

As part of commemoration Bhim Army unit of Bidar burnt pic of manusmriti near Ambedkar kaman in the evening. Bhima Army honorary President Ghallappa Ladhakar, Bheem Army District President Ambarish Kudre, Prabhakar Harurageri, Bhima Army District incharge Kishore Navllaspur, Veena Gupta, Govinda Badigere, Akashbahu JR, Dange, Tukaram Phulekar, Prakash Ravana, Harshit Dandekar, Mogalappa Upara Shahpura, Rahul Vudumani, Amar Meethare, Raghavendra , Narshing Yakatapure, Ramesh Shinde, and others participated in this event.
