Bangalore: The Bjp inner rumblings came to fore as the CM of Karnataka BS Yeddiyurappa shunted out the state Health minister, and allocated the portfolio to MLA K Sudhakar as an additional charge. Ramulu has been allocated Social welfare Ministry.

According to sources, this new developments have several backstage manoeuvres and many future implications. K Sudhakar a former Congressman has been given the charge of handling covid situation in Karnataka which had earned the ire of Ramulu in past. Now, this reshuffling is being seen by the observers as the attempt of Yeddiyurappa to cut to size or balance multiple factions in the BJP that have emerged.

It was reported by some media sources that Sriramulu, an influential leader in the state’s Hyderabad-Karnataka region has offered to resign. Blaming it as “clearly a ploy made by Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi who was successful in convincing the CM to strip Sriramulu of his plum portfolios, This is because Ramesh who hails from the same Valmiki community wants to portray himself as the tallest leader of this Scheduled Tribe at the expense of Sriramulu’s belittlement”.

The source said Sriramulu who was ironically himself a prime contender for the Deputy CM post (& had went to religious places doing “Special Poojas” for it) is now being assuaged by the CM to withdraw his resignation.
