On Friday, in a video address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged country men to switch off lights of their homes and lit candles today at 9 pm for 9 minutes. His appeal has come under severe criticism from the opposition parties and civil society members. They accused the Prime Minister of not announcing any substantial measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus instead resorting to feel good tactics. Netizens have also accused the PM of celeberating 40 years of formation his political party the BJP.
