Candles’ Heat Will Kill Coronavirus, Says Kar BJP MLA

Mysuru: In a shocking statement, Karnataka’s BJP MLA from Krishnaraja constituency in Mysore district, S A Ramdas on Saturday reportedly claimed that lighting candles, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will kill Coronavirus due to heat produced by the candles. Ramdas also explained the science behind his claim, he said that, “the virus will come towards the candle when lights are off and the heat produced by the candles will then kill the virus.” The MLA, probably, drew his conclusion from his observation of seasonal polyphyletic insects or moths getting attracted to light, mostly during rainy season.

It’s also reported that the MLA distributed candles and masks, on Saturday, among people and encouraged them to light candles and switch off the lights of their houses at 9 pm on April 5.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a video message to the people of the country had urged people to switch off lights of their houses and to light candles and flashlights in their houses.
