Bengaluru: The High Grounds Police Station in Bengaluru has opened an investigation into a case of “unnatural death On Friday, 28 January, as the granddaughter of former Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa was found dead in her own flat in Bengaluru’s Vasanth Nagar.

Dr Soundarya, in her early 30s, was a doctor at MS Ramaiah hospital in Bengaluru. She was the daughter of Yediyurappa’s first daughter Padma, the eldest in the family.

She had got married two years ago & was living with her husband Dr. Neeraj, a fellow doctor, & a six-month-old child at an upscale apartment near Mount Carmel College. It is said that the suicide might be because of postpartum depression.

Soundarya was found dead on Friday morning and the body has now been shifted to government-run Bowring hospital for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death.

The mortal remains of Soundarya, granddaughter of former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa have reached her farmhouse in Bengaluru. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

The former chief minister has yet to make a public comment in response to the Matter. It is said that he is in a shocking state since the news. Deceased Saundarya had visited him 2 days ago only.

According to the authorities, the evidence points to Soundarya’s death being a suicide. Her husband, according to the police, was the one who saw her first.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, and former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy have all contacted Yediyurappa to express their condolences.
