Bangalore: ‘UPAVAS SATYGRAHA’ held at Freedom Park by PSACWA Karnataka & Karnataka Unaided minority school management Association

Bangalore: One day Protest- Hunger strike ‘‘UPAVAS SATYGRAHA’’ at FREEDOM PARK, Bangalore organised by Private Schools & Children Welfare Association, Karnataka (PSACWA) and Karnataka Unaided minority school management Association under the leadership of Dr Gulshad Ahmed and Dr. Afshad Ahmed BZ, along with the associate members, School Managements, Principals, teaching and non teaching staff were Present.
Dr. Gulshad Ahmed, in his opening remarks greeted all the participants present at the protest and requested for suggestions and also asked them to express their difficulties they are facing during this pandemic situation so that the Government of Karnataka and the Education Minister gives a hearing to the pleas and takes an immediate step.
Dr Afshad Ahmed BZ President of PSACWA explained clearly in his speech at the protest on the important issues which Government needs to find a solution and give a clean and clear statement. He has demanded the following on behalf of all the Private School Managements and teachers to
• Release a special package to the private school teachers and non teaching staff from the funds paid to the Govt by the Private Institutions every year.
• Schools to reopen at an earliest with precautionary measures
• Consider the teaching faculty as Corona Warriors and providing vaccines to them as priority.
• Compulsory Admission process of students to happen and only then Promotion will be granted for the next academic year with clear paying of fees.
• Proper planning of reduction of syllabus for the current academic year 2020-21 and on that basis make provisions for children to attend Annual exam so that quality of education is sustained.
• Planning of SSLC EXAMINATION as to the portion, timetable or pattern of question paper if to help students to clear the BOARD EXAM.
• Issue RTE amount to schools that are kept on hold.
• Do not fine schools if there is any delay for applying RR during this pandemic situation.
• Wave off certain taxes and loans imposed on School Managements and also on teachers personal loans as their source of income is stopped.
On behalf of Commissioner of Education Mr.Krishna G Karichanavar Director of Secondary Education along with his office members visited the spot and has collected the letter from the Association that states the our demands. Addressing the media he assured that he will forward the letter and our hearings to the Education Minister and find a solution to the crisis.
