DeccanDigest is an Indian digital media, general news and opinion website founded by Talha Hussain Gulbargavi in 2013 during his stay in Delhi, as a news & Info source for people of Hyderabad region who lived outside Gulbarga. The website ran as volunteer run website & blog till July 29, 2016, after which it was launched as an Online media house focusing on Hyderabad Karnataka region. The Website added Telangana too its work area with an office in Hyderabad in 2018. Scaling up to serve the entire Deccan region, today DeccanDigest operates (or has reporting resources & Tie ups) from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Gulbarga, Bidar, Yadgir.
It operates various content documentaries and current affairs reporting with a focus on video production and social media.
Becoming a premiere news source from Deccan Region, Deccandigest has been quoted as sources by many mainstream National media sources such as The Quint, Scroll, Indiatimes and International media such as Aljazeera, TRT and novinite etc who have taken DeccanDigest news & content. DeccanDigest also featured in human rights and other reports such as Commonwealth Human Rights initiative etc.
