Gulbarga: The state government has not yet sent a proposal to include Koppal and Ballari districts under the jurisdiction of Kalaburagi Bench of the High Court to the Union law ministry, said Union Law and Parliamentary Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
At a press conference here on Sunday, Sadananda Gowda said according to the procedure, the state government has to send a proposal to the Union law ministry to include a district under the jurisdiction of a particular High Court Bench. “After examining the proposal, the Ministry will send it to the chief justice of the High Court concerned with its recommendations. He will take a final decision,” he said. Sadananda Gowda said that personally he was of the opinion that all the districts which are getting the benefit of Article 371-J should be under the jurisdiction of one bench and if the state government sends a proposal in this regard, he would forward it to the High Court immediately, with suitable recommendations.
The minister said Karnataka has an unstable government and it may collapse any time. “Siddaramaiah has failed to take his ministers into confidence. Instead of looking after the welfare of the entire state, he is taking care of one particular community.
“The people are fed up with the government and will certainly not bring it back in the next elections,” he predicted.
