Gulbarga: Number of villages facing shortage of water has come down:Claims Zilla Panchayat CEO Hibshiba Rani Kulkarni. “Compared to last year this time Gulbarga District is not facing the water problem of the magnitude of last year.

The district administration have provided water tankers to 200 villages & this time only four villages are facing shortage of water, these are SATAGED, NERADGI, MARADGI of Jewargi Taluka and PUSTAPUR of Chincholli.

“Claimed Hibshiba Rani Kulkarni ZP CEO Gulbarga. “The water supplying to these villages will be done with tanker services and will continue for another 10 days. We will ensure that the tanker facilities are continually provide to this villages. In the meantime we will also work to provide a water Pipeline facility.”She added “Earlier, the administration had identified 30 villages which may face shortage of water so for that the task team have already been formed.

We also took some measures in this regards which is this time not much villages got effected by shortage of water. A total of 50 lakh were approved for solving the water problems to every villages” She informed DeccanDigest.
