GulbargaJune 21: Good rainfall in June across Gulbarga has given farmers a hope and district Farmers are planting and sowing proper seed and using fertilizers to sow the crop informed District incharge Minister Dr. SharanaPrakash Patil to the agricultural authorities.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the quarterly progress review meeting of the Karnataka Development Program, which he called on the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Friday, he informed that Farmers will start sowing again. He said that the district should have adequate inventory of grain seeds and fertilizers. Certified seeds should also be tested and ensured in seed quality.
About 6.95 lakh farmers in the district depend on agriculture. Of these, about only one lakh farmers have agricultural credit . There are banks in each hobli and village. The minister advised the Lead Bank Managers to provide agricultural loans to all farmers.
If farmers grow up in the planting system, they can get Rs 4,000. The incentives by the government to provide incentives reach upto the tune of Rs 2,500 per hectare , this is to be Informed all the farmers at the Farmers’ Communication Center, he said. A demonstration in this regard should be set up at the farmer’s communications center.
There is a sand problem across the state.
Sand Management has been withdrawn from the Department of Public Works for its permanent solution, and have been transferred to the Ministry of Mining and Geology. He said
“The sandblocks will be identified by the mining department and auctioned. A total of 45 blocks have been identified in Gulbarga district. Tender has been called for a 19 block auction. The tender process is being completed on June 26. 6 blocks identified for government works. The minister said the sand would be available as soon as possible.” minister said.
“The National Highway and road construction works taken up in the district are in an incomplete state due to a stay of court stay. There have been construction of some roads and bridges for over a period of years, and authorities have to make a stand-up by issuing Para wise Description to the Court and get the stay order vacated.” he informed.
The rest of the construction work of roads in incomplete condition has been completed and the work must be completed and those still under construction, their Contractors must be blacklisted. He said that all the processes of the newly commissioned works should be completed and the tenders should be called as soon as possible.
