Gulbarga City to get a Police Commissioner, Commisionarate office to be set up soon

Gulbarga: The office of the Police Commissioner will be open shortly in Gulbarga City as discussed by the department and Administration said DGP Mr Om Prakash at the occasion of farewell parade which was held for him.

Speaking on the occasion Soon-to-be-retiring Mr DGP Om Prakash got nostalgic and emotional and thanked God for giving him an opportunity to take salute of the farewell parade at the place, where he received sword of honour on the completion of his induction training. He said he always took pride in Khaki and it has been his way of life. “The Government of Karnataka has already discussed about the Commissionerate office at Gulbarga to be a more vigilant and more active to stop the crimes.”

He added A strong contingent of 11 platoons conducted march-pasts followed by colourful band display. Large gathering of civilian guests and police officers attended the function. Dr Sharan Prakash Patil State Medical Education Minister & District In charge Minister, Mr Alok Kumar Inspector of General Police (Northern range ) and N Shashi Kumar Superintendent of Police Gulbarga, other top police officials and politicians took part in the function. Mr Alok Kumar inspector-general of police (North Eastern range) presided the program and SP N Shashi Kumar welcomed the all officials and other guests.
