District in charge Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil visits the rain affected areas 

Provide accurate information on damage to the District caused by rain

District Incharge Minister reviewed the relief measures of flood affected Gulbarga and held a meeting and survey to analyse the situation of the District better.. After Taking stock of the prevailing situation he assured full support from the State Government in relief and rescue operations.

DC Ujwal Kumar Ghosh informed that a total of about 1331 dwellings hve been damaged by the rains, the Taluka wise breakup is Gulbarga taluk, 137, -294 Aland, Afzalapur 281, Jevargi taluk -246, -142 Chincholi, Chittapura -94, -137 Sedam. this is according to preliminary reports. Total 681 families were rescued by the teams. after which Dr Patil said to the officials to make sure that the information on damage caused by rain is accurate.

Dr Patil asked the Gescom to ensure that the electricity is supplied at the earliest, to which the Gescom officials have said that there have been water intrusion in total 33 centers and they are working on getting the power grids online as soon as possible.

Dr Patil Also asked the DC to ensure that those who have their home damages must be provided with adequate shelter food and compensation. the meeting earmarked different denominations for the damages ranging from 2500 rupees to 1Lakh. 25Lakh was already released to each tahsildar it was declared.

The meeting Was headed by Dr Sharan Prakash Patil In Charge Minister Gulbarga, it was attended by Parliamentary Secretary of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Umesh Jadhav, Municipal Corporation Commissioner P. Sunil Kumar. Mr Govinda Reddy Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Teggelli Bhimashankar, including Ilyas Ahmed isamadi and other senior officials.

After the visit, the minister inspected Gulbarga colonies of the city Ganj Colony and shelter etc. he later visited to the home of the The 8-year-old child who died yesterday while playing in water in asylum colony, where he met the boy’s Father Raju Rathore .Dr Patil extended some financial assistance to the family from his side and promised to release adequate compensation from the Governments side.
