The Bidar Zilla Panchayat will use a digital assets register to identify and protect public assets such as buildings, borewells, and power lines, Pavan Kumar Malpati, Chief Executive Officer, has said.
“We have been receiving complaints that motor pumpsets are being stolen from borewells in villages. To ensure strict monitoring of public assets, we will use the digital register in the next three months,” Mr. Malpati said at a general body meeting of the zilla panchayat here on Friday.
The members approved an annual action plan of Rs. 127.95 crore for the local body for the coming year.
Priority areas like agriculture and allied fields would get the maximum outlay in the plan, Bharatbai Mallinath Kodambal, zilla panchayat president said.
