Gulbarga District Commissioner office at Mini Vidhan Soudha witnessed unique scenes yesterday. An angry Judge of Gulbarga Court ordered its staff to collect the Chair of DC and other belongings over non-payment of compensation to a Farmer .
Around 10 Years Ago a Farmer named Paro S/O Lakshama Rathod of Para Tanda of Gulbarga Taluka lots his land for a Lake that was to be built be Government. Although he was promised compensation, he never got it. after all his approaches failed he resorted to legal battle and won the case for compensation.
But the District administration delayed payments on one pretext or the other, irked over this the Judge today ordered the court staff to go and collect the belongings of Gulbarga DC Dr Ujwal Kumar Ghosh.
A chaos ensued after the staff made its way to the DC’s Office. The DC of Gulbarga then immediately made a written submission in the Court to give its a 7 day time to compensate the Farmers. The Written submission entered by Lawyer of District Administration was appealed by Gulbarga DC and Promised to pay the Farmers in anycase within 7 days.
