The incident happened in Kamalapur
A gang of unidentified men broke open an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at a kiosk in Kamalapur village in Kalaburagi district on Monday night and took away Rs. 6.12 lakh in cash.
The men targeted the Axis Bank ATM kiosk located in the ground floor of a commercial complex at Kamalapur village on the Bidar-Srirangapatna National Highway.
They broke open the machine with a gas cutter and fled away with Rs. 6,12,800 from the machine.
They also made an unsuccessful attempt to break open an ATM belonging to “Hitachi Money Spot” located nearby.
Axis Bank officials filed a complaint with the Kamalapur police.
